We received information on another volcano eruption far north in Japan.
...Columns of smoke spew from the foot of Mount Usu following another eruption that occured near a hot spring town where all the residents have been evacuated already Saturday, Apr. 1, 2000, in Touya village, 770 kilometers (475 miles) north of Tokyo. The eruption took place for the first time March 31 in 22 years and experts suggested the volcanic activities will continue for a long period of time.
